In 1944, the U.S. Government charged 63 Nisei (first-generation Japanese-Americans) imprisoned at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center in Wyoming with draft evasion.  On July 11 Cadwalader hosted a case reenactment.  Read more here.

“Iva: The Myth of Tokyo Rose”, directed by Soriya Chum and Elena Chang, is the trial case about Iva Toguri, a Japanese American citizen, who was accused of treason during World War II, was performed on stage at the Asia Society on Thursday, May 16th.  Read more here.

On Tuesday, February 28, Cadwalader’s New York office hosted a reenactment of two U.S. Supreme Court cases, Ozawa and Thind. See the video here.

The Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA) of Fordham put on a reenactment of the trial for the murder of Vincent Chin, which started the Asian American civil rights movement. Read more here.
